The House
Casa Blanca is the entire home, not a room in someone else's. Eleven of you, six bedrooms, and nobody to keep the noise down for. Come back from the course to a saltwater pool, fire up the BBQ terrace, settle a score on the table tennis table, and sweat out the round in the sauna.
When the clubs are away there is a gym, an outdoor shower, a fireplace for the cooler months, and hiking and cycling straight from the door.

The Golf
Two of them are a twenty minute drive and seven are inside an hour. Every one takes visitor bookings without a member introducing you, which is not true of every club on this coast. Pick a different one each morning and you never move your bags.
Sant Vicenç de Montalt, Maresme
Eighteen holes opened in 2001 on the Santa Maria del Balís estate, short and tight rather than long, with sea views over the Maresme. The best value round of the four, and midweek rates have been quoted including a buggy.
Online booking with immediate confirmation. The simplest one to lock in from abroad.
Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, Maresme
Founded in 1945 and originally laid out by F.W. Hawtree, this is the grand old club of the coast. Narrow fairways through pine, the Mediterranean on one side and the coastal range on the other, and a par four seventeenth with a view that has won awards. Weekday green fee €140, weekends and holidays €250.
Book online or by phone. Maximum handicap 36, and the course closes on Mondays outside July and August.

Vallromanes, Vallès Oriental
The one full-length par 72 within half an hour, inland from the coast and about 25 km from central Barcelona. Driving range, big putting and approach area, and a Mediterranean restaurant that is open to visitors, so it works well as the long lunch day. Weekday €110, weekends and holidays €135.
Visitors welcome daily, online or by phone. A valid handicap certificate is required, so bring it.

Caldes de Malavella, Girona · formerly PGA Catalunya
The famous one, and worth the extra half hour on the AP-7. The Stadium Course has hosted the Spanish Open three times and stretches past 7,100 yards from the back tees. Its sister Tour Course is wider and more forgiving, and has hosted European Tour Qualifying School finals. Midweek Stadium rounds have been quoted around €125, with peak rates a good deal higher.
Both courses are open to the public and bookable online. The Stadium Course has been closed for upgrade works over summer 2026 and both courses are due to be fully open again from October 2026, so check dates before you commit.

Terrassa, Vallès Occidental
Forty five holes laid out by Greg Norman in the hills above Terrassa, and the strongest championship test near the city. It hosts the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship on the DP World Tour. The eighteen most visitors play is a par 72 of about 6,400 metres. The Yellow course is €165, the Pink €195, and the Green is kept for members.
Book online through the club. Maximum handicap 36, and advance booking is essential rather than optional, especially at weekends.

Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona
A Harry Colt design from 1919 and one of the oldest courses in Catalonia. Short at around 5,200 yards and all the better for it: hilly, tight and a proper test of position rather than length. €125 Tuesday to Thursday, €175 Friday to Sunday and holidays.
Book online. The club is busy with members most days, so visitor slots are limited and worth taking early.

Sant Esteve Sesrovires, Barcelona
José María Olazábal laid out the Masia course here in 1989, about 27 km west of the city. Generous practice facilities with thirty covered bays and a dome putting green, and a Mediterranean restaurant in the clubhouse. Afternoon green fees have been quoted from €45, which makes it the cheapest full round on this list.
Visitors are welcome alongside members, and the club takes bookings through its own online system.

Sitges, Garraf
Founded in 1922 and among the oldest clubs in Spain, laid out on the flat behind Sitges with the Mediterranean in view for much of the round. The third green sits almost on the shore. €140 on working days and €200 at weekends and on holidays, with a nine hole afternoon rate available.
Book online through the club. Terramar is a members club that admits visitors, but a visitor may play a maximum of six times a year, so treat it as a one off rather than a regular.

Navata, Girona · Empordà
An eighteen hole parkland course by Jordi Soler Peix, opened in 1993 on the Empordà plain with the Pyrenees on the skyline, attached to a hotel and spa. The fifth is the one everyone talks about afterwards, a par three to an island green ringed by water.
Bookable online through the club. The club does not publish its green fee on its own site, so confirm the current rate when you book.

Gualta, Girona · Costa Brava
Two full eighteens on the Costa Brava. The Forest course winds through Mediterranean pine at par 72, and the Dunes course runs between dunes and water at par 71 with a distinctly Scottish feel. €102 buys one course and €183 buys both on the same day, which makes this the obvious thirty six hole day of the trip.
Both courses are bookable online through the resort. Worth pairing with Pals, which is twenty minutes further on.

Pals, Girona · Costa Brava
The oldest course on the Costa Brava, cut by F.W. Hawtree in 1966 through a mature umbrella pine forest behind the beach at Arenals de Mar. Narrow, quiet and properly old fashioned, and the one most groups rate highest after playing it. The club's own rate card runs from €69 for eighteen holes up to €116 in peak season.
Book online through the club. It is the longest drive on this list, so make it a full day rather than a morning round.
Book a tee timeSpanish clubs ask for one more often than UK clubs do. Vallromanes requires a valid certificate and Llavaneras caps visitors at 36. A photo on your phone is usually enough, but do not turn up without it.
Eleven players means three tee slots, and clubs on this coast fill up at weekends. Weekday rates are also materially cheaper almost everywhere, which is the single easiest way to cut the cost of the trip.
Drive times are approximate and from the house. Pars and green fees were checked against the clubs and published guides in August 2026 and are given as a guide only. Rates change with season, time of day and buggy or club hire, so confirm current prices and availability directly with each club when you book. Casa Blanca is not affiliated with any of these clubs. How many of you?
The easiest number in the house. Four of you take the four best bedrooms, everyone gets a proper bed and a door to close, and two bedrooms stay empty for clubs, cases and the one who snores.
Two bathrooms between four is the one time the bathroom count is not worth thinking about.

Bedroom 6 is the only true twin, and Bedroom 4 has a bunk, so four of you can have a separate bed without sharing a room with a stranger. Bedrooms 1 to 3 are a king and two queens, which means at eleven, three pairs are sharing a double. Whether any of the doubles can be split into twins is a question for Anna and Jamie: it is not something the listing states, so we will not promise it.
Eight is the sweet spot: every golfer in their own bed, nothing improvised, no negotiating. Eleven fills every bed in the house, with three pairs sharing a double. Twelve works with the extra bed the hosts add, and needs a word with them first because the listing itself stops at eleven. Anything from four to eight and the house feels generous.

Location
Casa Blanca sits in Can Massuet del Far, in the village of Dosrius, in the hills behind the Maresme coast. Barcelona is 45 minutes away, so a night in the city is easy, but you are not sleeping in it.
The practical advantage for a golf group is the position: inland enough to be quiet and private, close enough to the coast that two eighteen hole courses are a twenty minute drive, with the AP-7 nearby when you want the big day out at Camiral.

Travel & Logistics
Two airports serve the house, and the one most groups should be looking at is not the obvious one. Girona is usually the cheaper way in, and it is no further from the front door.

Girona - Costa Brava (GRO) · roughly 50 minutes by car
Girona is the low cost gateway to this coast and is normally the cheaper of the two airports to fly into, which matters when you are buying eleven seats. It is small and quick: bags and clubs come off fast and you are on the AP-7 within minutes of landing. For a golf group it is the sensible default.
Barcelona - El Prat (BCN) · roughly 50 minutes by car
Many more flights and airlines, so it is easier to reach from most cities and the better bet if the group is arriving from several places at once. Fares are usually higher than Girona and the drive skirts the city, so allow more time in the Friday evening rush.
You need your own wheels here. The house sits in the hills above Dosrius, the courses are spread from twenty minutes to an hour and a half away, and tee times rarely suit anyone else's timetable. Both airports have the usual hire desks, and rates on this coast are among the cheaper in Europe, particularly out of Girona and outside August.
